Biography
Tay Gowan signs to the Vikings practice squad after being waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 30, 2022. The Covington, Georgia, native was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round (223rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of UCF. Gowan began the 2021 season with the Cardinals before being acquired by the Eagles via trade on Oct. 15, 2021. He has appeared in two total games with the Eagles, playing a total of 76 combined snaps (44 on defense, 32 on special teams) and totaling one defensive tackle and one special teams tackle. Gowan played collegiately at UCF in 2019, Butler Community College (Kansas) in 2018 and Miami (OH) in 2017, and earned second-team All-AAC by Pro Football Focus (UCF) in 2019 and first-team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College (Butler) honors in 2018.
