Biography
Jonah Williams, who was originally signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in May of 2020, joins the Vikings following four seasons with the Rams (2020-23). During the 2021 season, Williams was coached by Vikings Defensive Line Coach Marcus Dixon, who was the Rams assistant defensive line coach. Williams has appeared in 41 regular-season contests, including 22 starts, in his NFL career, and has recorded 77 total tackles, including four for loss, 2.5 sacks and one pass defensed. He also started the Rams Wild Card matchup at Detroit on Jan. 14, 2024, collecting three total tackles, including one for loss. A native of Meridian, Idaho, Williams achieved single-season career highs in games played (17), games started (16), total tackles (49), solo tackles (20), tackles for loss (four), sacks (2.0) and passes defensed (one) in 2023.
