Biography
Selected by the New York Giants in the seventh round (254th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft, Gervarrius Owens (pronounced ger-VAHR-ee-us) comes to Minnesota following stints in both New York and Tennessee. He has appeared in five games over the past two seasons (2023-24), including three matchups during his rookie season with the Giants. He began his collegiate career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, before transferring to Houston where he posted 208 total tackles, including 7.5 for loss, four interceptions, 22 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two blocked kicks in 46 career games with the Cougars
