Biography
Chris Garrett joins the Vikings practice squad after being waived by the Los Angeles Rams on Aug. 30, 2022. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native was a seventh-round pick (252ndoverall) in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, where he spent the 2021 season, when Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell, Offensive Coordinator Wes Phillips and Quarterbacks Coach Chris O'Hara were on staff. Having appeared in one game last season with the Rams, Garrett saw action on defense and special teams. Garrett finished his collegiate career at Concordia-St. Paul with 166 total tackles (91 solo), 36.5 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, the NCAA Division II record, nine passes defensed and four fumble recoveries.
