Alexander Mattison

Alexander Mattisonreturns for his fifth season with Minnesota in 2023. He was originally draftedin the third-round (102nd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. Mattison has played in 59 career games (six starts) and recorded 404 rushes for 1,670 yards and 11 touchdowns. Additionally, he has caught 70 passes for 526 yards and three touchdowns. In 2022, Mattison posted a career-high five rushing touchdowns and recorded his third game with 100-plus rushing yards. The San Bernadino, California, native attended Boise State from 2016-18 and was named to the 2018 All-Mountain West First Team.

• Had a game-high 95 yards rushing and added 50 yards receiving, scoring a rushing and receiving TD in a game for the 1st time in his career at Detoit (1/3/21), scoring on a 28-yard pass from Kirk Cousins and on a 2-yard run.

• Inactive for game at New Orleans (12/25).

• Returned to lineup vs. Chicago (12/20), catching a 14-yard pass and carrying once for 1 yard.

• Inactive vs. Jacksonville (12/6) and at Tampa Bay (12/13).

• Finished game vs. Detroit (11/8) with 69 yards on 12 carries in relief of Cook, who had rushed for 206 yards, giving the team 275 yards on the ground.

• Started 1st career game when Dalvin Cook was inactive with injury vs. Atlanta (10/18).

• Had 1st career 100-yard day at Seattle (10/11), going for 112 yards on 20 carries and added 24 yards on 3 catches after replacing an injured Dalvin Cook for the 2nd half in a narrow 27-26 loss on Sunday Night Football.

• Scored his 1st career TD on a 10-yard rush vs. Oakland (9/22), ending the day with 12 carries for 58 yards and 1 TD.

• Hauled in his 1st career reception at Chicago (9/29).

• Led the team and set career high with 62 rushing yards vs. Philadelphia (10/13) with career-long 35-yard run.

• Rushed for 61 yards on 13 carries vs. Washington (10/24) and added 2 receptions for 3 yards.

• Had 73 scrimmage yards at Seattle (12/2) with 51 receiving yards on 4 receptions.

• Inactive with an injury Weeks 15-17.

• Made his NFL postseason debut in the Wild Card win at New Orleans (1/5/20), rushing 5 times for 20 yards and catching 1 pass for 10 yards.

COLLEGE

• Played in all 40 games during his Boise career, helping team to Mountain West title in 2017 and capping that season with a win over Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl to finish 11-3.

• Two-time Academic All-Mountain West (2016-17).

• Became the 1st Boise player to claim a Mountain West rushing crown in 2018, ranking 8th in the country with 1,415 rushing yards. Also ranked 3rd in the FBS with 302 rushing attempts and tied for 7th with 17 rushing TDs (1st in the MWC).

• Ended Broncos career tied for 2nd in school history with 3 games of 200+ rushing yards while also posting 10 games with 100+ rushing yards.
