Biography
Kahlef Hailassie (pronounced kah-LEAF hail-assie) returns to Minnesota for his second stint with the team in 2025. He was signed from the Vikings practice squad to the Jacksonville Jaguars active roster on Sept. 17, 2025, spending eight weeks on the team's active roster before being released on Nov. 17. Hailassie, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs following the 2023 NFL Draft out of Western Kentucky, was waived by the Chiefs during final roster cuts in August of 2023 and joined the Cleveland Browns. During his tenure in Cleveland, he appeared in 10 games (one start), recording eight total tackles, including one for loss, and one pass defensed.
