His father is African American and his mother is half Korean. His maternal grandmother is from South Korea.
Is cousins with Chicago Bears WR and returner Devin Duvernay.
His uncle, Calvin Murray, played five seasons in the MLB (1999-2004), spending time with the San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs.
Selected in the first round (ninth overall) by the Oakland Athletics in the 2018 MLB Draft, becoming the first person in history to be selected in the first round of both the NFL and MLB drafts.
Was an outfielder on the Oklahoma baseball team, starting 50 of his 51 games for the Sooners in 2018 and hitting .296 with 10 home runs, 13 doubles, 47 RBI, 46 runs and 10 stolen bases.
