Biography

• Notched 36 receptions in 2019, setting a new Vikings record for receptions by a rookie TE.

• Caught his 1st NFL TD vs. Denver on 11/17/19.

• His teams went 41-3 overall at Alabama, won 2017 National Championship, played in national title game all 3 seasons and won SEC Championships in 2016 and 2018. 

• Father, Irv, was a 1st-round pick by New Orleans Saints as a TE and uncle, Ed, played TE in the NFL.

OFF THE FIELD

• Comes from football family that includes father, Irv, Sr., and his uncle, Ed, who played in the NFL.

• Father was 1st-round pick of the Saints in 1993 (#20 overall) and went on to play 7 seasons with New Orleans (5), San Francisco (1) and Cleveland (1), catching 183 passes with 15 TDs in 95 career games.

• Uncle, Ed, played in the NFL from 1997-99 with Washington, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit.

• Ed caught a pass for Atlanta against the Vikings in the 1998 NFC title game.

• Born in Arizona and lived there until age 14 when family moved to New Orleans.

• Majored in kinesiology at Alabama. Hopes to open a gym following his football career.
