Hale Hentges (6-4, 245), pronounced Hen-ches, joins Minnesota after spending Weeks 2-13 on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Colts in 2019, Hentges spent the first five weeks of his rookie season on Indianapolis' roster, playing in the Week 5 contest at Kansas City, before being released and signed by Washington on October 7, 2019. He went on to play in 10 more games with four starts and hauled in 103 yards and one touchdown on eight receptions as a rookie with Washington. A native of Jefferson City, Missouri, he played four seasons at Alabama, winning 42 games and two national titles. Hentges was teammates with current Vikings TE Irv Smith Jr. while at Alabama.
