MINNEAPOLIS — Kyler Murray left the Vikings Week 1 game against the Packers. He was evaluated for a concussion and ruled out.

Minnesota's quarterback was hit hard after sliding to finish a scramble late in the first quarter. Packers edge rusher Lukas Van Ness and safety Javon Bullard closed on Murray, and despite him clearly going to the turf, Bullard hit the QB on the ground. Van Ness made contact with Murray's helmet, as well.

The Packers were flagged for unnecessary roughness on Bullard, and Murray was down on the field for a couple of minutes being looked at by trainers. He walked off under his own power.

Carson Wentz replaced Murray at quarterback for Minnesota. He went 1-of-3 passing to help that drive finish with a 38-yard Will Reichard field goal.

Green Bay got off to an early lead with a 59-yard field goal by rookie Trey Smack and an 81-yard touchdown by Christian Watson on a pass from Jordan Love.
