Vikings Training Camp

Today will mark the final of two scheduled practices between the Vikings and the Broncos. It is scheduled to start at 2 and last until approximately 4:30 p.m. The Vikings Village is open from noon to 5 p.m. Any practice that has to move indoors will not be open to the public.

The following changes have occurred to Minnesota's roster since the Training Camp Playbook was printed:

The Voyage | Episode 02 | Season 3

On this episode of The Voyage, look back on some of the major free agent additions the Vikings made on the defensive side of the ball this offseason -- Patrick Peterson, Dalvin Tomlinson and Xavier Woods -- along with Michael Pierce, who opted out last season, as Head Coach Mike Zimmer looks to get that group back to the high level it's been at during his tenure in Minnesota.

"I enjoyed the facility because we were coming from the dungeon in Jacksonville. But just to get over here, one thing I remember was the great weather like it is right now. Breezy, not a lot of humidity. Coming from Jacksonville, there was a lot of humidity. Also what I realized, I know because I did joint practices from when I was playing, that the intensity goes up. I kind of made mention of that to my guys today. Hey, come out here with the mindset that the intensity is going to go up and there are going to be some collisions every now and then, so don't be shocked with them or the intensity. Just be ready to play football."

— Receivers coach Keenan McCardell on joint practices

16 seasons — McCardell started 168 of the 209 regular-season games he played across 16 seasons, but only 11 of those occurred in his first four seasons. His years as a player are just one fewer than the years previously accrued by all of the Vikings rostered receivers (Adam Thielen has played 7 previous seasons; Dede Westbrook 4; Chad Beebe 3; Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn and Dan Chisena 1 each).

Vikings and State of Minnesota to Host Vaccine Clinics at Preseason Games

The Vikings are teaming up with the State of Minnesota to continue the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier today, the team announced plans to host walk-up vaccine clinics outside U.S. Bank Stadium. They will open three hours before each game, so at noon this Saturday before the 3 p.m. kickoff with the Broncos and at 4 p.m. before Minneapolis hosts Indianapolis on Aug. 21.
