Final Vikings vs. Falcons Injury Report for Week 2 of 2025

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings are hosting the Falcons in Week 2 of 2025, which will be the teams' first head-to-head Sunday Night Football showdown.

Kickoff is 7:20 p.m. (CT) at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After topping the Bears in Week 1 on Monday, the Vikings opted for a walk-through on Wednesday. Participation levels for that day are estimated.

The practice week is scheduled to include sessions on Thursday and Friday, the latter of which will be followed by game designations for players.

Prior to Wednesday's walk-through, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell announced that linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring) and running back Ty Chandler (knee) will miss some time. O'Connell also announced outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel and cornerback Jeff Okudah are in concussion protocol.

J.J. McCarthy did not participate in Thursday's practice because he was at the hospital with his fiancée in the lead up to the birth of their son.

Update, Sept. 12: The Vikings ruled out Van Ginkel and Okudah.

Minnesota also ruled out tackle Christian Darrisaw and listed safety Harrison Smith as questionable.

McCarthy returned to practice on Friday after celebrating the birth of a son with his fiancée.
