EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings returned to practice Wednesday in advance of visiting the Lions at noon (CT) Sunday in Week 8 of 2026.
The Vikings are also scheduled to practice Thursday and Friday. Players will receive game status designations on Friday.
Running back Aaron Jones, Sr., and guard Joe Huber did not practice Wednesday because of knee injuries. Tackle Brian O'Neill is also dealing with a knee injury and was limited Wednesday.
Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell said Jones is day-to-day after leaving Minnesota's Week 7 game against Indianapolis at the end of a 17-yard run.
O'Connell said Huber was dealing with some soreness, so the team wanted to give him an extra day of recovery. The team planned to have Trevor Keegan and rookie Caleb Tiernan take reps in place of Huber Wednesday. Huber has started the past two games at left guard in place of Donovan Jackson, who left Minnesota's Week 4 contest and required surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
