UPDATE: The Vikings on Saturday added linebacker Ivan Pace, Jr., (personal reason) to the injury report. He is listed as questionable.
EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings concluded their practice slate Friday in advance of visiting the Buccaneers at 3:05 p.m. (CT) Sunday in Week 3 of 2026.
Vikings punter Brett Thorson (hamstring) and center Nick Samac (knee) were ruled out. Thorson suffered his injury at Chicago in Week 2 but finished the contest. Samac appeared on Wednesday's injury report as a limited participant and did not practice the rest of the week.
Minnesota signed veteran punter Johnny Hekker, who spent the offseason with the Vikings, to its practice squad this week, and he can be elevated for Sunday's game.
Running back Aaron Jones, Sr. (knee), linebacker Jake Golday (ankle), running back DeeJay Dallas (toe), defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins (oblique), tackle Brian O'Neill (knee) and defensive lineman Jalen Redmond (elbow) did not receive game designations and are expected to be available.
Tampa Bay Head Coach Todd Bowles on Friday ruled out rookie outside linebacker Rueben Bain, Jr., and rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter.
