The 1987 season was unique on several levels for the Vikings, who like all teams had one week wiped away due to the player's strike, and three other games being played with replacement players. But that Vikings team snuck into the playoffs at 8-7 and pulled off a pair of road wins before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Redskins in the NFC Championship Game.
