Biography
Gallman, waived by the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 11, has been claimed by the Minnesota Vikings. The fifth-year running back saw time this season for Atlanta, with his most productive contest coming against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10, rushing the ball 15 times for 55 yards. Gallman, who has totaled 104 rushing yards on 28 rushing attempts in 2021, was drafted in the fourth round (140th overall) in 2017 by the New York Giants and spent four years with the club, playing in 53 games and making 14 starts. In the absence of Saquon Barkley, Gallman had the best season of his career in 2020, rushing for 682 yards and six rushing scores, while also adding 21 receptions and 114 receiving yards. While at Clemson, Gallman earned 37 starts and rushed for 3,429 yards and 34 touchdowns on 676 carries, ranking third in all-time rushing touchdowns and fifth all-time in rushing yards, while recording the single-season school rushing record (1,527) in 2015.
