Biography
Blake Brandel, who was set to become a restricted free agent at the start of the 2024 League Year, re-signs with the Minnesota Vikings. He was selected by the Vikings in the sixth round (203rd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Oregon State and has appeared in 39 games, including five starts, in the past three seasons (2021-23), after spending his rookie year on the practice squad (2020). A native of Milwaukie, Ore., Brandel played in every game for the Vikings during the 2023 season. He started Minnesota's Week 14 matchup at Las Vegas (12/10) and Week 18 contest at Detroit (1/7), playing 100% of the team's offensive snaps at right guard.
