EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings (9-2) on Friday ruled out tackle Christian Darrisaw and tight end Ben Ellefson ahead of hosting the New York Jets (7-4) at noon (CT) Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Darrisaw is in concussion protocol. Ellefson has been working his way back from a groin injury that landed him on Injured Reserve.
Blake Brandel replaced Darrisaw at Buffalo in Week 10 and again in Week 11 against Dallas before starting in his place against New England in Week 12.
Ellefson was injured against New Orleans in London in Week 4.
Vikings Injury Report:
Defensive lineman Ross Blacklock (illness) is listed as questionable.
Safety Harrison Smith (ankle), defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (calf) and cornerback Akayleb Evans (concussion) did not receive a designation and are likely to be available Sunday.
Tomlinson has been sidelined since suffering a calf injury in Week 8 against Arizona.
Evans filled in for Cameron Dantzler, Sr., at Washington after Dantzler suffered an ankle injury that led to his placement on Injured Reserve. The rookie started at Buffalo in Week 10 but suffered a concussion.
Jets Injury Report:
Safety Ashtyn Davis (hamstring) was ruled out.
Running back Michael Carter (ankle) and tackle Cedric Ogbuehi (groin/illness) were listed as doubtful.
Tackle Duane Brown (shoulder) was listed as questionable.
Defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins (elbow), tight end Kenny Yeboah (calf) and cornerback D.J. Reed (not injury related) did not receive designations and are expected to be available.
