EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings (7-7) on Friday ruled out cornerback Byron Murphy, Jr., and receiver Jalen Nailor for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions (10-4) in Week 16.
Murphy is dealing with a knee injury, and Nailor remains in concussion protocol. Neither practiced this week.
The Vikings listed the following six players as questionable: defensive linemen Harrison Phillips (back) and Jonathan Bullard (ankle), running back Alexander Mattison (ankle), tackle Brian O'Neill (ankle) and linebackers Jordan Hicks (shin) and Ivan Pace, Jr. (shoulder).
Hicks' 21-day practice window opened Tuesday, and he was listed as a full participant all week. A roster move would be required before he can return to the 53-man roster.
Pace was added to the injury report on Friday.
Outside linebacker Danielle Hunter (illness) and defensive lineman Sheldon Day (ankle) did not receive designations and are expected to be available.
Kickoff is noon (CT) Sunday.
