Final Vikings vs. Jets Week 5 Injury Report

WATFORD, England — The Minnesota Vikings (4-0) on Friday returned tight end T.J. Hockenson to practice but ruled him out for facing the New York Jets (2-2) Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Minnesota stuck to the plan announced Wednesday by Head Coach Kevin O'Connell of opening Hockenson's 21-day evaluation window as he returns from a torn ACL suffered on Dec. 24, 2023.

Hockenson will appear on the injury report during the evaluation window and must receive a game designation. His participation Friday was limited.

He and the Vikings found a beautiful pitch awaiting them at The Grove northwest of London hours after they arrived via an overnight flight from Minnesota.

The other players on this week's injury report did not receive game designations.

Tight end Josh Oliver (wrist), receiver Brandon Powell (chest), linebacker Ivan Pace, Jr. (ankle), cornerback Akayleb Evans (illness) and quarterback Sam Darnold (knee) are expected to be available.

Harrison Smith and Stephon Gilmore were added Friday as not participating because of rest.

The Vikings will be playing in their fourth regular-season game in London and aiming to improve to 4-0 in the International Series. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in London/8:30 a.m. (CT).
