Vikings vs. Chargers Week 3 Injury Report: Davenport Out, Bradbury Questionable

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Friday ruled outside linebacker Marcus Davenport out for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Chargers because of an ankle injury.

Minnesota listed center Garrett Bradbury (back) as questionable.

Davenport has been dealing with an ankle injury since a practice before Minnesota's season-opener against Tampa Bay. Bradbury left that game against the Bucs and has been out of the lineup since. Davenport played four snaps at Philadelphia before leaving his Vikings debut game.

"I went out there and tried it and wasn't at the place I should have been, so we were able to be smart and pull it back a little bit," Davenport said in the locker room Thursday.

The offseason addition said he's experiencing "progress."

"One of those day-to-day things, you know? I'll just leave it at progress," Davenport said. "I've been itching [to play]. Seeing our defense and what we were able to do and thinking about how I can contribute and add to it only gets me more excited."

Earlier this week, receiver Jalen Nailor was listed as limited because of a hamstring injury, but he was placed on Injured Reserve Thursday and will miss at least four weeks.

Tackle Christian Darrisaw (ankle), linebacker Jordan Hicks (shin) and safety Josh Metellus (shoulder) did not receive designations for the game.

Los Angeles ruled out running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) and Eric Kendricks (hamstring), the linebacker who played eight seasons for the Vikings.

The Chargers listed edge defenders Joey Bosa (hamstring) and Chris Rumph II (hamstring) as questionable. Rumph is the son of Vikings defensive line coach.

Linebacker Daiyan Henley (hamstring) and defensive lineman Christopher Hinton (back) also were listed as questionable.

Receiver Mike Williams (ankle), who fully participated this week, does not have an injury designation and is expected to play.
