EAGAN, Minn. — Vikings nose tackle Michael Pierce (elbow) and tight end Ben Ellefson (neck) have been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers at Carolina.
Receivers Justin Jefferson (ankle) and Adam Thielen (foot) did not receive an injury designation for the game, despite not practicing on Wednesday or Thursday.
The duo has combined for 59 of the team's 134 receptions, 729 of 1,407 receiving yards and seven of Minnesota's 10 aerial touchdowns.
None of the other players on Minnesota's injury report received a designation for Sunday's game.

RB Dalvin Cook (ankle), RB Alexander Mattison (shoulder), WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette (toe), LB Anthony Barr (knee), LB Nick Vigil, FB C.J. Ham (quadriceps) and CB Cameron Dantzler (illness) are expected to be available. Dantzler was activated Thursday from the Reserve/COVID-19.
Veteran DE Everson Griffen and S Harrison Smith appeared on the report Wednesday when they were given vet days off from practice.
Carolina's Friday injury report: The Panthers ruled out RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring), LB Shaq Thompson (foot) and LB Kamal Martin (concussion) were ruled out.
G Deonte Brown (knee) and CB C.J. Henderson (shoulder) are listed as questionable.
P Joseph Charlton (back) was placed on Injured Reserve Thursday.
T Cameron Erving (neck) did not receive a designation.
