MVC Master Class

Charliz Heimerman is the owner of Charliz Balicao Dance Company and brings a wealth of experience working with high school, studio, collegiate, and professional dancers. She trained for 15 years at Larkin Dance Studio and later danced with the University of St. Thomas Dance Team from 2019–2020, contributing to two collegiate national championship titles in jazz and hip-hop.

 Following her collegiate dance career, Charliz served as Assistant Varsity Jazz and JV Kick Coach for the Benilde-St. Margaret's Dance Team. She then danced professionally as an NFL Cheerleader from 2021–2024, where she choreographed the organization's first MVC production, multiple on-field routines, and performed in halftime shows alongside artists including Flo Rida, T-Pain, Wyn Starks, Young Gravy, Hairball, and Tyler Hubbard.

 Charliz has committed herself to creating a positive environment where dancers can build confidence, gain valuable life skills, and develop a lasting love for dance.

Pam was an Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader for 5 years, 3 years as captain and honored to represent the MVC at Probowl her last season! Prior to MVC she danced for the University of St Thomas dance team, and after coached for 5 seasons, with multiple national championships.

She currently choreographs & teaches for a local studio as well as all around the country for high schools, colleges & pro teams, on top of being the director of social media & marketing at her studio. This past season, she was also on MVC staff, where she worked with the cheerleaders along with choreographing routines. She loves working with dancers of all ages and is grateful to be teaching an MVC master class!

Corbin Johnson is a professional dancer, dance educator, and mentor from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She began her dance training at the age of two, studying at Stage Door of Performing Arts in Coon Rapids before attending St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in downtown St. Paul. Her foundation spans Modern, Hip Hop, and African dance, with continued training at Poetry in Motion Dance Co., Classical Ballet Academy, and TU Dance.

At 18, Corbin moved to Los Angeles, where she built a successful professional career, including worldwide touring with Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion. Drawing from her experiences on global stages and her academic focus in psychology, she has spent the past six years as a dance educator and mentor, blending real-world industry insight with mental performance tools to help dancers build confidence, resilience, and longevity. Her work centers on empowering dancers to lead with intention and fully embrace taking up space, both on and off the field.

Cortney grew up dancing competitively here in Minnesota. She went on to be on the University of MN Dance Team for four years, winning 6 National and two world championships. She opened her dance training facility, The Vibe, in 2019, where she is able to train dancers from all over. Cortney has also worked with and choreographed for many teams around the country, winning a national championship as a choreographer for Minnesota State University Mankato and is now the current jazz choreographer for St Thomas Dance Team.
