2024 | MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Began the 2024 season on Injured Reserve - Designated for Return before signing to the Vikings practice squad in November. Murphy was elevated twice during the regular season, appearing in the Vikings Week 14 and Week 18 matchups.
Elevated to the active roster ahead of Week 18 at Detroit (1/5).
Elevated to the active roster ahead of Week 14 vs. Atlanta (12/8), and made his NFL debut, appearing on 28 defensive snaps (38% of snaps) and recording one tackle for loss.

COLLEGE - NORTH TEXAS/UCLA

Played three seasons at North Texas (2019-21) before transferring to UCLA for the 2022-23 seasons.
At UCLA, started all 26 games he played and posted 76 total tackles, including 20 for loss, 9.5 sacks, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
In 2023, notched single-season career highs in tackles for loss (16) and sacks (8.0) and ranked sixth in the Pac-12 in sacks per game average (0.62)
At North Texas, appeared in 24 games, making 15 starts, and recorded 71 total tackles, including 17.5 for loss, 11.5 sacks, three passes defensed, four forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

PREP - BISHOP LYNCH (TEXAS)

Rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals and 247Sports Composite.
As a senior, had 35 solo tackles and 54 assisted, including 11 for loss, 1.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and one interception.

OFF THE FIELD

Son of Chris and Shaunielle Murphy.
Has three brothers - Gavin, Christin and Grayson.
Identical twin brother, Grayson, played with him at both North Texas and UCLA. Grayson signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in May of 2024.
