Biography
Banwart signs with the Vikings practice squad after stints with the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants. After going undrafted out of Iowa in the 2021 NFL Draft, Banwart signed with the Titans as a rookie free agent and was released on Sept. 9. After camping in Tennessee, Banwart was added to the Giants practice squad on Sept. 21 and released on Oct. 19. While at Iowa, Banwart garnered Third-Team All-America status by Pro Football Focus and Second-Team All-Big Ten honors by the league and Phil Steele in 2020 after starting eight games at left and right guard. Banwart's first year as a full-time starter came in 2020 after he battled injuries through his time at Iowa.
