The Minnesota Vikings named Ryan Pace a football advisor on June 25, 2026. Pace, who served as the Chicago Bears general manager for seven seasons (2015-21), joined the Vikings after four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2022-25).

Pace was hired by the Falcons as a senior personnel executive in February 2022, before being promoted to director of player personnel in 2023 and vice president of football operations/player personnel in August 2024.
As Chicago's general manager, Pace was named the Sporting News Executive of the Year after building a Bears roster that finished 12-4 in 2018, won a division title and secured the club's first postseason berth since 2010. Pace was Chicago's first general manager to win executive of the year since Michael McCaskey in 1985. That season, the Bears had eight players selected to the Pro Bowl, four of whom were also named Associated Press All-Pros.
The following offseason, Pace signed Cordarrelle Patterson in free agency, who, along with Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller and Khalil Mack, was named to the 2020 Pro Bowl. Pace signed Robert Quinn via free agency in 2020, and in 2021, Quinn broke the single-season franchise sack record with 18.5.
Pace joined the Bears after spending 14 seasons (2001-14) as a member of the New Orleans Saints, including 13 in the player personnel department. He spent his final two seasons (2013-14) with the Saints as director of player personnel. In his role, Pace helped manage the team's college and pro scouting operations. He served six seasons as the club's director of pro scouting (2007-12), which included overseeing the club's pro scouting staff.
The Flower Mound, Texas, native got his start in New Orleans player personnel department as a scouting assistant in 2002, a role he held for two years before working as a pro scout from 2004-06. During that time, he evaluated free agents and collegiate players entering the NFL Draft as well as scouted upcoming opponents. He joined the Saints in 2001, supporting the coordination of all game day, training camp and stadium operations.
Pace played collegiately as a defensive end at Eastern Illinois (1995-99), serving as team captain as a senior. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing. Pace and his wife, Stephanie, have one daughter, Cardyn.
