The Minnesota Vikings named Azzaam Kapadia (uh-ZAHM kuh-PAH-dee-ah) the team's assistant director of pro scouting on June 25, 2026. Kapadia arrived in Minnesota following three seasons (2023-25) with the Seattle Seahawks, most recently helping the team win Super Bowl LX after the 2025 season.
Kapadia served as a scouting intern in 2023 before being promoted to a scouting assistant in 2024. He spent the 2025 season as a pro scout for the Seahawks. In his role, Kapadia evaluated talent across NFL rosters and practice squads, as well as other professional leagues including the UFL and CFL, with an additional focus on identifying potential international prospects. He produced scouting reports assessing player value, scheme fit and acquisition strategy relative to the team's roster needs through free agency, trades and waiver claims.
During the season, Kapadia presented advance scouting reports on upcoming opponents to the coaching staff through film breakdown, personnel evaluation and scheme analysis. He also assisted in coordinating free agent visits and tryouts throughout the year. In addition to his pro scouting responsibilities, he supported the college scouting department at All-Star Games, the NFL Combine and Pro Days leading up to the NFL Draft, while also helping identify undrafted free agent prospects to add to the roster following the draft.
Before joining Seattle in 2023, Kapadia worked as a student recruiting assistant for the University of Virginia football program from 2019-23, where he assisted with the identification and evaluation of prospective student-athletes and led scouting efforts related to the NCAA transfer portal. He also supported the program's video department in filming home and away games and breaking down film for the coaching staff.
While attending Virginia, Kapadia served as a football operations intern with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 and with Athletes First as a football intern in 2022. During his senior year, he also worked remotely for the Cleveland Browns as a film analyst.
Raised in Richmond, Va., Kapadia graduated from the University of Virginia in 2023, earning his degree in business management and information technology with a track in business analytics and a minor in leadership.
