The Minnesota Vikings named Andrew Healy assistant general manager on June 25, 2026. Healy assists General Manager Nolan Teasley with football operations and leads the analytics and research departments following 10 seasons with the Cleveland Browns, including the past seven as the Browns vice president of research and strategy.
Healy, who enters his 11th NFL season in 2026, began his tenure in Cleveland in 2016 as senior strategist of player personnel, where he worked with the Browns personnel department on player forecasting and position modeling. He was named vice president of research and strategy in June 2019, leading the integration of data and advanced insights into all areas of football operations. He also contributed to all roster construction and strategic football decisions throughout his tenure in Cleveland.
Prior to entering the NFL, Healy spent 11 years at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a professor of economics.
A native of Lincroft, N.J., Healy earned a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Yale University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He and his wife, Genny, have two sons, Jack and Alex.
