How to Watch, Listen to & Stream Vikings at Bears in 2025 Week 1 Game

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings are opening their 2025 regular-season slate by visiting the Chicago Bears at 7:15 p.m. (CT) Monday, Sept. 8.

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is set to make his first start at Soldier Field in his hometown.

It will mark the seventh time the Vikings have opened a season on Monday Night Football and the fifth time in the past 20 seasons (1971, 1972, 2006, 2008, 2015 and 2017). It will be the 19th time in Minnesota-Chicago series history for the franchises to meet on MNF.

BROADCAST TV

ESPN and ABC (KSTP in the Twin Cities) will offer a simulcast of the game.

Kickoff: 7:15 p.m. (CT)

Play-by-Play: Joe Buck

Analyst: Troy Aikman

Sideline reporters: Lisa Salters (Vikings) and Laura Rutledge (Bears)

Additionally, the game will be broadcast by ESPN Deportes.

ESPN2 will open the fifth season of the "ManningCast" featuring Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as special guests, for an alternate coverage of the game.

Vikings GameDay Live will air on FOX 9 (KMSP) in the Twin Cities at 5 p.m. (CT).
