EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings are opening their 2026 season by hosting the Green Bay Packers at 3:25 p.m. (CT) Sunday, Sept. 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

It will be the 132^nd overall Border Battle and a rematch between rivals who closed the 2025 season and rang in the calendar's new year at the same venue in January.

The contest will be broadcast to most of the country by CBS.

Vikings GameDay Live will broadcast from The Commons outside U.S. Bank Stadium and air on FOX 9 in the Twin Cities market from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CT).

Nationally, CBS' THE NFL TODAY will broadcast from near the Vikings Longship outside the stadium at 11 a.m. (CT). Host James Brown will be joined on set by former Vikings receiver Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher, Russell Wilson and Kyle Long.

Additionally, THE NFL TODAY+ will stream from that location on Paramount+, CBS Sports HQ and the NFL ON CBS YouTube Channel beginning at 9 a.m. (CT).

The public is welcome for those broadcasts, regardless of whether people have game tickets.
