Vikings Announced as Finalist in 3 Shorty Award Categories

**The Shorty Awards** committee on Friday announced its final list of nominees, and the Minnesota Vikings have two entries listed as finalists in three categories. The Shorty Awards are a submission-based awards program that honors the best of social media by recognizing the influencers, brands and organizations on social media.

The Vikings entries that made it to the finalist stage are Viking Quest, for Twitter Video, and Skol Skribbles, for both the Snapchat Partnership and Sports categories. Both campaigns were new to social media this year and featured partnerships with talented artists and illustrators. "It's a tremendous honor to be finalists in the 2018 Shorty Awards. It's also a testament to the talents of the two artists we worked with – Ian Padgham and Evan Garber," said Scott Kegley, Vikings Executive Director of Digital Media & Innovation."Viking Quest was an ambitious undertaking, trying to tell a season-long story in weekly installments. With Skol Skribbles, our social team tried to create something truly unique from a team's Snapchat account."

The Vikings are honored to be among other esteemed finalists including the NFL, WWE, Marriott Rewards, AMC Theaters, IKEA and Bloomberg. The full list of Shorty Awards nominees is **available here**.

The Shorty Awards show is set to be held on April 15 in New York City. The program will also be available via livestream and YouTube.
