Vikings Sign WR Trishton Jackson to Practice Squad

Trishton-Jackson-2560

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Thursday signed former Rams receiver Trishton Jackson to their practice squad.

Jackson, 23, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2020. He caught five passes for 55 yards and a touchdown this preseason.

Jackson, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 191 pounds, earned Second-Team All-ACC honors at Syracuse as a redshirt junior when he led the Orange with 66 catches and ranked sixth in the conference with 1,023 receiving yards. He sat out the 2018 season because of NCAA rules after transferring from Michigan State.

The native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, is a cousin of former NFL receiver Braylon Edwards, the third-overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft.

The signings of Jackson and quarterback Sean Mannion earlier Thursday place Minnesota's practice squad at the maximum of 16 players.
