EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings are closing their offseason workout program by adding two players and waiving two players.

The team on Tuesday signed 24-year-old tight end Marshall Lang, strengthening a position room that includes T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, Gavin Bartholomew, Ben Yurosek and Bryson Nesbit.

Minnesota also added 23-year-old defensive lineman Jahvaree Ritzie, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds.

The Vikings waived tackle Caleb Etienne, 24, and undrafted rookie defensive lineman Monkell Goodwine, 23.

Lang joined Seattle as an undrafted rookie in 2025 and had practice squad stints with the Seahawks and Patriots last season before signing a futures contract with New England in February – he was released in late April.

The Cincinnati native appeared in 51 games over five years at Northwestern, making 48 catches for 491 yards and four touchdowns. He also notched one carry for 3 yards in his final season.

An Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2023-24, Lang is listed at 6-foot-4 and 246 pounds. Notably, he attended the same high school as 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Luke Kuechly (St. Xavier).

Lang overlapped with new Vikings General Manager Nolan Teasley in the Pacific Northwest. Teasley was named GM on June 1 after 13 seasons in Seattle.

Ritzie most recently was with the Steelers after signing a reserve/future contract in January but was waived on May 26. He was originally signed in May 2025 by New England as an undrafted free agent but was released from the Patriots practice squad in early September.

As a senior at North Carolina in 2024, Ritzie started all 12 games and recorded 40 tackles, 6.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defensed, in addition to returning an interception for a touchdown at Virginia.

Ritzie played 52 games for the Tar Heels and finished his collegiate career with 138 tackles, 9.0 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two passes defensed and the interception return for a TD.

A North Carolina native, Ritzie attended Robert B. Glenn High School and was a four-star recruit with multiple college offers, including from Georgia, Ohio State and South Carolina.

Ritzie has been active in his hometown of Kernersville, North Carolina, and next month is hosting "More Than Football," a community-based initiative to raise funds and collect donations for youth in need.

Etienne joined the Vikings as a member of the practice squad last December. Goodwine was signed after the 2026 NFL Draft.
