OFF THE FIELD Majored in management and earned bachelor’s degree from MSU...Married to college sweetheart Caitlin in May of 2015...Joins Carter Bykowski (Eden Prairie), Isaac Fruechte (Caledonia), C.J. Ham (Duluth), Brian Leonhardt (Spring Lake Park), Marcus Sherels (Rochester) and Terrell Sinkfield (Minnetonka) as Minnesotans on the Vikings roster in 2016...Avid golfer, spent time golfing in Arizona in the offseason...A Detroit Lakes, MN native, was a 4-sport standout athlete in HS for the Lakers (football, basketball, baseball, golf)...Helped his team to a state championship on the golf course...Active in Vikings community relations efforts including work with the Humane Society with his wife, as well as attending the annual Vikings Arctic Blast in Thief River Falls and Winterfest in Duluth...Hosts youth football camps in the Twin Cities and his hometown Detroit Lakes.

PRO Played in all 16 games for the Vikings during the 2014 and 2015 campaigns, including starts vs. NY Giants (12/27/2015), vs. Chicago (12/20/2015), at Buffalo (10/19/14) and at New Orleans (9/21/14)...Named Vikings Vikings Special Teams Player of the Year...Earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after scoring his first NFL TD against the Carolina Panthers (11/30/14), blocking a Brad Nortman punt and returning it 30 yards for a TD...Became the 4th player to block a punt and return it for a TD in Vikings history...Hauled in his 1st receiving TD week 17 against Chicago (12/28/14), a 44-yard pass from Teddy Bridgewater, marking the game’s only TD...Continued to develop throughout 2013 season and spent all 16 weeks on Vikings practice squad...Earned invitation to continue with team following 2013 Vikings rookie camp and earned rookie free agent contract...Competed in scouting regional in Chicago and Dallas that led to his invite to the Vikings rookie camp in 2013.

2015 Took over leadership role on special teams and played in every phase...Honored as Vikings Special Teams Player of the Year...Ranked tied for 2nd in special teams tackles with 10...Notched 1st career rushing attempts, posting best offensive day in regular season finale at Green Bay (1/3/16) when the Vikings clinched NFC North title at Lambeau Field, wrestling the crown away from the Packers after a 4-year run as champs...Ran for 67 yards on 2 carries, with a long of 41 on a fake punt, at Green Bay and added a 16-yard catch, ranking tied for 2nd in Vikings history for rushing yards in a game by a WR with the effort...Hauled in career-high 6 passes for 70 yards at eventual Super Bowl champions Denver (10/4)...Had season-long 30-yard catch at Detroit (10/25)...Posted 1st career rushing attempt at Oakland (11/15) for a 14-yard gain.

2014 Earned a spot on the 53-man roster to start the 2014 campaign...Made NFL debut at St. Louis (9/7)...A special teams ace,  finished tied for 2nd in special teams tackles, totaling 12 on the season...Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt against Carolina (11/30) and returning it 30 yards to paydirt, at the time was the longest blocked punt returned for a TD in team history, a record that was broken in the same game by DE Everson Griffen...1st NFL reception came at Green Bay (10/2), led the team in receiving that game finishing with 4 receptions for 57 yards...Recorded 1st NFL receiving TD Week 17 vs. the Bears (12/28), a 44-yard strike from QB Teddy Bridgewater, marking the game’s only TD.

2013 Earned practice squad position throughout entire season...Saw preseason action with Vikings at WR and on special teams...Was signed on 5/6 to rookie free agent contract following Vikings rookie camp when unsigned rookies are invited to practice with draft choices and rookie free agent signings to showcase their ability...Released on 8/31 and signed on 9/1 to the Vikings practice squad for the remainder of the season.

COLLEGE Started 37 of his 46 career games at Minnesota State...Ended college career ranked #2 in school history in receptions (198), 3rd in receiving yards (2,802), 3rd in receiving TDs (20), 3rd in punt return yards (582) and 3rd in punt returns (57)...Had 74 receptions for 1,176 yards and 8 TDs as a senior...Named 1st-Team All-Northern Sun Conference South Division as a senior and 2nd-Team as a junior...Helped lead the Mavericks to a 13-1 record and a national semi-final berth as a senior...7th MSU Alumni to play in the NFL, joining Bob Bruer (1979-80 with San Francisco; 1980-83 with Minnesota) and Tywan Mitchell (2000-01 with Arizona) as the only 3 former Mavericks to play in a non-lockout NFL regular season.
