Joe Kapp Serves As Honorary Captain Prior To Vikings-Raiders Game

Vikings Legend Joe Kapp (1967-69), who quarterbacked the Vikings to their first playoff appearance in 1968 and first playoff victories the following season, was Honorary Captain for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. Kapp tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes in one game when he led Minnesota to a 52-14 win over the Baltimore Colts on Sept. 28, 1969. That performance launched a franchise-record, 12-game win streak.
