Dani Chronicles Vikings-Chargers Game
5th-year veteran Dani gives us a behind the scenes look at the Vikings first game at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Rise and shine! It's game day!!! It's amazing how quickly I can pop out of bed at 4:30 AM for a game compared to other days.

We would be nothing without our family, friends... and doggies! Their support is crucial during busy times in the season. Driving us to the stadium at the crack of dawn is just one of the many things they do for us.

Each year we are paired up with another MVC who will be our "sister" for the season. This year the lovely Mariah is my sis. So I got her a hanging organizer for our new lockers and filled it with motivational notes!

Breakfast is served!!! One of the many perks of the new stadium: coffee and scrambled eggs!!! It's the little things :)

On game days we are required to be all ready for the day, and on the field stretching 5 hours before kick off. For a noon game this means 7AM! It gives us enough time to practice and set our formations before its time to head out to our appearances.

At this game we performed at pre game with over 200 alumni MVC. It was so fun to see all the different generations come together, and also to dance with some of my former teammates again.

Jackie and I made the team the same year and also were roommates. It's crazy how fast time flies!

Here's a picture of me in our new locker room, wearing our new costume, and standing under our chandelier. Yup! You heard me right-- we have a purple chandelier in our locker room!!!

At each game the MVC divide and conquer different appearances around the stadium. This game my team danced outside on the plaza!

Lauryn and I were also rookies together and now are the only 5th year veterans left on the team. She's my buddy:)

This year the captains chose the theme of our season to be "there's no place like home". Each captain wrote a letter to the team along with their favorite home quote. They read them to us during "circle up" in our new studio followed by Coach Tami leading us in prayer.

We broke the record of the most fans to attend a football game! And it was only preseason!! Here's my team in the third quarter being our silly selves.

Here is what the game looks like from my perspective. I make sure to always take a moment to look around and take it all in, and remind myself what a blessing it is that I get to be a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader!

One of the big reasons I love being an MVC is the impact you can have on people. I love taking the time to personally make fans feel special. And how can you say no when an adorable little girl asks if you want to try on her horns!!!?

After a long day of cheering the Vikings to victory it's important to replenish! Burgers are my all time favorite food and have become my typical post-game meal. This one just happened to be bigger than my head!
