'Miracle' Play, Vikings Up for 2 ESPY Awards

Some call it the "Minneapolis Miracle." Others call it the "Minnesota Miracle."

ESPN referred to the play as the "Minnesota Miracle" on Wednesday when it announced that the thrilling catch has been nominated in the "Best Moment" and "Best Play" categories.

All can call the 61-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs to lift the Vikings past the Saints in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs a two-time ESPY nominee.

Will they also call it a one- or a two-time winner?

Online voting will provide fans with the chance to select winners. The voting process opened Wednesday and will be ongoing from now until the start of the 2018 ESPYs broadcast on July 18.

The Vikings triumph is up against the Las Vegas Golden Knights advancing to the Stanley Cup Final in their first season, Notre Dame winning the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and the University of Maryland-Baltimore County becoming the first No. 16 seed to upset at No. 1 seed (Virginia) in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

The ESPY Awards borrowed from the bracket format for the Best Play balloting by seeding 16 plays.
