MINNEAPOLIS —The Vikings received the ADchievement Awards' "Overall Award of Excellence" and three other honors on Tuesday during the 2017 National Sports Forum.

The NSF ADchievement Awards recognize the year's most outstanding advertising campaigns in sports and are the only sport-specific awards that feature hundreds of submissions across eight categories. Winners are named in each of those categories, and the Overall Award of Excellence is presented annually.

In addition to the top award, the Vikings also were named Best in Sales Collateral, Best in Print and Best in In-stadium/In-arena.

"The Vikings are incredibly proud of our ADchievement Awards recognitions," said Vikings Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Steve LaCroix. "The opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016 provided multiple opportunities to showcase exciting elements of the Minnesota Vikings, our brand's heritage and the organization's bright future through work created by our talented design staff and the Vikings Entertainment Network."

The awards were selected by an independent group of advertising experts from Southern California.

Seven Vikings submissions were selected as finalists across five categories (print, out-of-home, sales collateral, in-stadium/in-arena and social/mobile media). Two entries by the Vikings were finalists in the print and social/mobile media categories.

The Milwaukee Brewers, who were selected as the 2016 Overall Award of Excellence winners had six entries selected as finalists across five categories this year.
