EAGAN, Minn. — Jordan Mason is back in the Vikings backfield.
The Vikings (5-0) on Saturday activated the running back ahead of hosting the Indianapolis Colts (2-4) in Week 7.
Mason has been sidelined since suffering a hand injury in Week 1 that required surgery.
He rushed 15 times for 59 yards and a score to help Minnesota outscore Green Bay 22-zip in the fourth quarter of the season-opening 39-22 victory.

Instead of having a 1-2 punch at running back with Mason and Aaron Jones, Sr., the past four games, Minnesota has leaned heavily on the latter to maintain an increased commitment to running the football.
Jones has rushed 85 times for 370 yards since Week 2. His highlights include 105 yards at Chicago in Week 2, when he trotted past 1,000 career rushing yards against the Bears, and rumbling for 113 and a score at New Orleans in Week 5, despite leaving that game briefly because of a knee injury.
Minnesota welcomed its Week 6 bye and has everyone on the active roster available for Sunday's game.
To make room for Mason, the Vikings released running back DeeJay Dallas.
Minnesota then signed Dallas to its practice squad. The veteran first joined Minnesota's practice squad in September and was signed to the 53-man roster after Mason's injury. He has played 40 snaps on offense and 92 on special teams, where he's been a key contributor to Minnesota's success in football's third phase.
Dallas will be elevated for Sunday's game.
To make room for Dallas on the practice squad, the Vikings released cornerback Natrone Brooks from their practice squad.
