Vikings Acquire Additional 1st Round Pick (23rd Overall) in 2024 NFL Draft Via Trade with Houston

EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings have executed a trade with the Texans to acquire an additional first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Minnesota is sending its 42nd and 188th overall selections this year, along with a second-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, to Houston in exchange for the 23rd and 232nd overall selections this year.

The trade now provides even more flexibility to Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah early in the three-day event. 

The Vikings are slated to have the following nine picks in the upcoming draft:

First round: 11th overall

First round: 23rd overall (from Houston)

Fourth round: 108th overall

Fourth round: 129th overall (from Detroit)

Fifth round: 157th overall (from Cleveland)

Fifth round: 167th overall (from Kansas City)

Sixth round: 177th overall (from Carolina through Jacksonville; acquired Oct. 31, 2023)

Seventh round: 230th overall (conditional from Atlanta through Cleveland and Arizona; acquired Oct. 31, 2023)

Seventh round: 232nd overall (from Houston)
