Vikings Sign T Ryan Van Demark

2026 SOC - Free Agency Signed [Ryan Van Demark] 2560x1440 (1)

EAGAN, Minn. — As free agency continues, Minnesota is addressing its depth in the trenches.

The Vikings announced Friday they have signed tackle Ryan Van Demark, who spent the past three seasons as a swing tackle in Buffalo. Turning 28 on March 22, Van Demark has appeared in 43 games with six starts.

Van Demark signed an offer sheet with Minnesota Tuesday, giving Buffalo five days to match the Vikings offer. The Bills, who had placed a tender on the swing tackle, decided Friday to decline a match. They will not receive any draft pick compensation.

In 2025 with the Bills, Van Demark started four of 17 games on offense. He bookended the right side in Week 4 against New Orleans and also filled that role in Weeks 14 and 18 against the Bengals and Jets. The Wayne, New Jersey, native flanked the other side as a starter in Week 13 at Pittsburgh.

Overall, he was credited by Pro Football Focus with allowing two sacks and nine pressures across 147 pass-blocking snaps. Van Demark additionally played special teams in all 17 of Buffalo's games in 2025.

Van Demark is listed at 6-foot-7 and 307 pounds. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Connecticut in 2022, initially signing with the Colts and spending training camp with them before sticking with Buffalo.

The addition of Van Demark occurred two weeks after tackle Justin Skule became a free agent. Skule started nine of 16 games last season, filling voids caused by injuries to Christian Darrisaw and Brian O'Neill.
