EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings signed guard C.J. Hanson to their practice squad, the team announced Thursday.

A seventh-round draft pick by the Chiefs in 2024, Hanson spent his rookie campaign as a reserve lineman. He spent most of last season on Kansas City's practice squad before being elevated to the active roster in December.

Hanson was waived at the end of the 2026 preseason with an ankle injury.

Hanson played five seasons at the College of the Holy Cross, where as a senior he started all 11 games at right guard. He was named a season-long team captain and received invites to the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. He garnered All-Patriot League First-Team and All-New England honors.

A New Jersey native, Hanson attended DePaul Catholic High School and became a first-time starter as a senior. He committed to Holy Cross as a zero-star recruit.
