EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Wednesday announced they have signed receiver Blake Proehl to their practice squad.
The signing of Proehl caps a series of moves that included Monday's activation from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list to the 53-man roster and placing him on waivers Tuesday.
After Proehl cleared waivers without a claim by another team, he signed with Minnesota's practice squad. Proehl has worked his way back from a torn ACL that cost him his entire rookie season.
Minnesota recently did a similar move with Ryan Connelly before signing the linebacker and Eden Prairie native to Minnesota's practice squad.
Earlier this week, the Vikings waived safety Myles Dorn from their 53-man roster and re-signed him to their practice squad. Dorn has played 54 snaps in four games this season for Minnesota.
The practice squad contract of rookie safety Mike Brown was terminated to make room for Dorn.
