EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Friday ruled out linebacker Anthony Barr (knee) and Michael Pierce (elbow) ahead of playing the Chargers Sunday in Los Angeles.
Barr has been working through a knee injury but had played 100 percent (313) of Minnesota's defensive snaps in the past four games.
Pierce has been sidelined since leaving Minnesota's Week 4 game against Cleveland. He had initially suffered elbow and shoulder injuries in the practice week that preceded the Browns game but tried to play through them.
Cornerback Bashaud Breeland (groin) was listed as questionable.
The other players on Minnesota's injury report — cornerbacks Harrison Hand (ankle) and Cameron Dantzler (ankle), guard Olisaemeka Udoh (knee), tackle James Lynch (toe) and linebacker Eric Kendricks (triceps) — did not receive a designation.
The injury report does not include the six total players (53-man roster or practice squad) who are Reserve/COVID-19 lists. That list includes DE Kenny Willekes, S Harrison Smith, C Garrett Bradbury and LB Ryan Connelly from the 53-man roster. Dakota Dozier and Timon Parris are on the Practice Squad Reserve COVID-19 list.
