The Minnesota Vikings (7-8) announced the following players will be inactive for their Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions (8-7):
Quarterback J.J. McCarthy
Quarterback Brett Rypien (emergency QB)
Running back Jordan Mason
Linebacker Austin Keys
Tackle Brian O'Neill
Tight end T.J. Hockenson
McCarthy was ruled out earlier this week due to a hairline fracture in his right hand. Rypien was brought back to Minnesota during the week after he was claimed through the waiver process.
Mason left Sunday's game with an ankle injury. Hockenson is dealing with a shoulder injury, and O'Neill was on the injury report this week with a heel injury.
