Vikings at Bears Inactives for Week 1 of 2025

CHICAGO — The Minnesota Vikings announced the following players will be inactive for their Week 1 game of 2025 at the Chicago Bears:

Quarterback Max Brosmer (third quarterback)

Safety Harrison Smith

Running back Zavier Scott

Guard Joe Huber

Tackle Christian Darrisaw

Defensive lineman Elijah Williams

Smith has been recovering from an August illness and did not travel with the team.

Darrisaw has been working his way back from a knee injury suffered in Week 8 of the 2024 season.

Brosmer will dress but only play if Vikings quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz suffer injuries.

Earlier Monday, Minnesota used a standard elevation for receiver Tim Jones from the practice squad.

Bears Inactives

Chicago announced the following players will be inactive:

Defensive back Jaylon Johnson

Defensive back Kyler Gordon

Quarterback Case Keenum (third quarterback)

Running back Roschon Johnson

Linebacker T.J. Edwards

Offensive line Kiran Amegadjie

Defensive lineman Shemar Turner

Keenum, the former Viking, will dress but only play if Bears quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent suffer injuries.

Chicago elevated linebacker Carl Jones, Jr., and defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon from its practice squad.
