MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Vikings announced the following players will be inactive for their Week 2 game of 2024 against the San Francisco 49ers:

Quarterback Brett Rypien (third quarterback)
Cornerback Fabian Moreau
Cornerback Dwight McGlothern
Defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez
Defensive lineman Jalen Redmond
Tackle Walter Rouse

Addison suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 at New York.
Rypien is Minnesota's emergency quarterback and is eligible to play if the Vikings suffer injuries to starter Sam Darnold and backup Nick Mullens.
Moreau, McGlothern, Rodriguez, Redmond and Rouse are inactive for the second consecutive week.

San Francisco placed running back Christian McCaffrey on Injured Reserve on Saturday.
The 49ers announced the following players will be inactive:
Quarterback Joshua Dobbs (third quarterback)
Cornerback Darrell Luter, Jr.
Safety Talanoa Hufanga
Linebacker Dee Winters
Offensive lineman Ben Bartch
Dobbs, who spent part of 2023 with Minnesota, is eligible to play only if San Francisco suffers injuries to starter Brock Purdy and backup Brandon Allen.
