EAGAN, Minn. – The 2024 Vikings schedule has been released.
Minnesota is slated to host the 49ers at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 2 after kicking off the regular season on the road against the Giants.
The Vikings home opener will pose an early challenge against the defending NFC Champions and will mark the second straight season of hosting the Niners.
In 2023, Minnesota defeated San Francisco 22-17 on a Monday Night Football stage in Minneapolis; the victory was part of a five-game win streak for the Vikings, who started out the season losing four of five contests.

Last season's game against the 49ers marked rookie receiver Jordan Addison's first two-touchdown outing. He later repeated the feat at Cincinnati in Week 15.
If the Vikings want to secure back-to-back wins against the team that's gone to the NFC Championship Game four times and the Super Bowl twice (one win, one loss) in the past five seasons, it will be all hands on-deck. Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores will be tasked with a plan for Christian McCaffrey, the versatile running back who led the NFL in scrimmage yards with 2,023 in 2023.
This will mark the 51st matchup between the teams (including six postseason contests).
