The Vikings 2023 schedule was announced May 11 and features five prime-time games (as of now), as well as two that remain to be determined (Week 15 at Cincinnati and Week 18 at Detroit).

We've taken a look at intriguing player matchups in non-division matchups and 10 takeaways from a broader prospective.

Now, we'll preview each team in the order the Vikings will face foes.

We're concluding the four-part series with Weeks 14-18 that include visiting Las Vegas and Cincinnati, returning to host Detroit and Green Bay and hitting the road to close the regular season against the Lions in Motown.

New-look Raiders

This will be the first time for the Vikings to visit Allegiant Stadium in a regular season. While the Silver and Black remain a staple look, the Raiders will be in their second season under McDaniels and have a new starting QB for the first time since selecting Carr with the 36th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Carr started 142 of a possible 146 games for the Raiders.

Icebreaking Storyline

Trying to end the drought

No matter the year, wins in Cincinnati have been hard to come by for Minnesota. That was the case during the last meeting, a 27-24 overtime win by the Bengals to open the 2021 NFL season. That decision improved the Bengals to 7-7 all-time against the Vikings and 7-1 as a host during the series. The lone exception was a 42-7 win by Minnesota in 1992. The 2022 Vikings were able to end long droughts at Buffalo (1997) and Miami (1976) last season, and the 2023 team will try to do the same here.

Icebreaking Storyline

With the NFL scheduling Detroit for the league's season opener against Super Bowl Champion Kansas City, there certainly seems to be intrigue around the Motown team.

The Powers That Be scheduled the Vikings and Lions to play their two division games in a span of three weeks to close the season. Does this mean we should expect the NFC North division to come down to Minnesota vs. Detroit? Only time will tell.

Icebreaking Storyline

With a bang

The Border Battle to close out a regular-season home slate and a calendar year? Look out. Instead of opening the 2022 slate, this will be the latest visit by the Packers in series history, topping the Dec. 30, 2012, game in which Adrian Peterson made a run at history.

Icebreaking Storyline

As Vikings fans know, the regular-season finale can have all the implications for standings, or it could be looked at as one final step before the postseason. It's impossible to predict where the Vikings and Lions will be come January. Detroit wound up getting flexed into the final game of the 2022 regular-season and prevailed at Green Bay but narrowly missed the playoffs.
