Welcome to the 2023 preseason kickoff of the Vikings Postgame Report from Lumen Field. The Minnesota Vikings kicked off their preseason campaign in the Emerald City, led by Quarterbacks Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall at the helm. Mullens finished his portion of the game going 14 of 20 passing for 139 yards, and a touchdown pass to Tight End Nick Muse in the 2nd Quarter.  The Vikings Offense jumped out to a 10-0 lead early in the 2nd Quarter but only mustered an additional 3rd Quarter field goal during the rest of the game.   Running back Ty Chandler finished the game with 11 carries for 41 yards and 4 receptions for an additional 29 yards receiving. Wide Receiver Jalen Reagor also caught 4 passes for 55 yards, which led the rest of the Wide Receiver corp for the evening. Defensively, Linebacker Luiji Vilain recorded the lone sack of the game, but Jaylin Williams recorded an Interception in the 3rd Quarter on Seahawks Quarterback Drew Lock, which led to a 54-yard field goal by Kicker Greg Joseph.   Overall, there were a bunch of good plays, but plenty of elements to work on going into the upcoming joint practices with the Tennessee Titans this week.  Paul Allen and Pete Bercich give their initial impressions from Thursday's tilt, including: the return of Lewis Cine to the Defense, some of the offensive tendencies that developed throughout the night, the new look Defense that allowed players to "flow freely," and the initial impressions of the highly touted rookie wide receivers for both teams.  Plus, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell spoke to the media at the postgame press conference. All of this and more is in the Preseason Week 1 edition of the 2023 Vikings Postgame Report.
